Dental X-ray

Digital X-Rays at Madeel Dental Center: Precision Meets Safety

At Madeel Dental Center, we believe that accurate diagnosis is the first step toward a healthy smile. Digital X-rays are a cornerstone of our General and Family Dentistry services, allowing us to see what lies beneath the surface. This advanced imaging technology ensures we detect dental issues early, plan treatments with pinpoint accuracy, and monitor your oral health over time—all while prioritizing your safety.

Safety First: 90% Less Radiation

Your health and safety are our highest priorities. Unlike traditional film X-rays, our digital sensors use up to 90% less radiation, making them a safe choice for every member of the family, including:

  • Children & Teens: Monitoring growth and tooth development.
  • Adults: Routine preventive check-ups and maintenance.
  • Seniors: Monitoring bone stability and long-term restorations.

Empowering You Through Transparency

At Madeel Dental Center, we don’t just tell you about your oral health—we show you. During your consultation, we display your X-rays on a chairside monitor. This allows us to:
Preventive Care Tip: By identifying small issues today through digital imaging, we can prevent emergency treatments and tooth loss tomorrow.

Integrated Modern Diagnostics

Our digital X-ray system is part of a fully integrated technological suite at Madeel Dental Center. It works in harmony with our Panoramic OPG imaging and CBCT 3D scans to provide a 360-degree view of your oral health.
Everything You Need to Know

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the procedure take?
It’s nearly instant. The sensor captures the image in a split second, and it is sent to our computer immediately, significantly shortening your appointment time.
Does the process hurt?
Not at all. We use small, smooth sensors designed to fit comfortably in your mouth. The process is non-invasive and takes only a few seconds.
Can digital X-rays see everything?
They see a lot—but they are 2D. If we are planning a complex procedure like an implant or a difficult extraction, we may move from a Digital X-ray to a CBCT 3D Scan to see the volume and depth of the bone.
Why does the dentist leave the room during the X-ray?
Our staff takes hundreds of X-rays a week. While a single X-ray is safe for you, the team leaves the room to avoid "cumulative" exposure over many years. It is a standard safety protocol for dental professionals worldwide.
I’m pregnant. Should I avoid dental X-rays?
While digital X-rays are extremely low-dose, we typically postpone routine X-rays until after pregnancy as a precaution. However, if you have an emergency or infection, the risk of the infection to the baby is often higher than the X-ray. We always use protective lead aprons for maximum safety.
